Sally Hansen HD Review

It's a bad review guys. I did not like this polish because the formula was very thin and runny. It took three coats for it to be opaque and each coat took FOREVER to dry. Sigh.

Also, it's not particularly pretty.

Sally Hansen HD - Laser

Sorry about the mess, I had to get migraine medicine and it messed up my nails. Medicine was more important than polish. I didn't want to take the time to fix it because the polish was so annoying.

I definitely wont try any more colors in this line.

Also because I'm visiting Ohio and Pennsylvania this weekend, I don't know how often I'll be able to post. I have lots of pictures waiting, I just need to have an internet connection!

Love, Bethany

  3. Although I don't have HD, I do own LCD, Spectrum and Laser. I love them all but because they are so sheer I wear them over black. The duochrome in these is insane! LCD in particular has the most amazingly pink/fuschia/violet/blue color shift in it.

  6. Wow, seems to be an epidemic out there of polish not drying. I had to go back over Gemma this morning to cover up the sheet marks after 3 hours of dry time. :/ Can't wait to see all your pictures!!

  7. Hey, I just completed a comparison between this polish and another one (I'll post it next week sometime)! Great minds think alike? ;) Well, maybe not exactly alike, because while this polish is annoyingly sheer, I actually do really like the final effect. With enough patience, I find this polish is an incredibly striking deep cobalt blue, with lots of depth. Very sparkly and reflective, too. And the slight purple duochrome is gorgeous. Ah well, I'm sorry you had such a bad experience with it!

  8. The color would make a great underwear! It's a bummer about the application and the dent.

  9. yeahhhh, i have 2 from the HD line & they suck also. They look pretty on, but like you said, they're super runny & take ages to dry. not worth it. AND, i get migraines, too :/// hope you feel better!

  12. Sorry you had a bad experience with it. I tried a couple from the line (Byte & Hue) and they were pretty good.

  13. I had the same problem with this line as well. I don't remember if I had this one or Spectrum, but I was so pissed at how sheer they were. If I wear it, I layer it over a coat of black or navy blue polish.

  14. I was really sad to read your review because when I saw the picture I thought WOAH!! This is an awesome color!!!
But after reading your thoughts - I will avoid it.
It does have quite a few look a-likes all over.

  15. I'm sorry you hated it! Sounds like a bad day all around. :( I get migraines too, sometimes so bad I have to go to the ER because I can't keep the meds down.

But regarding the polish, if you aren't too mad at it I might encourage you to try again but in a different way. I now have Laser, Spectrum, DVD, Wavelength, Hue, High-Res, and Three D. I know that must seem crazy, but I wear a lot of black and like to have a pop of eye-catching color on my nails. The trick is that I never use it as a straight polish, only as a shimmery coating over another opaque or metallic color. I'll choose a matching or complementary color to do my nails, and then apply the HD between the polish and the top coat. It creates a wonderful depth and vibrance, especially in daylight.
