Do you like the green tinge?

Second Top Coat: Julep - Ellie

I like the pink tinge the best!

So how do you like the very first Double the Fun?

We're Off To See the Wizard

...the wonderful wizard of oz. This was one of my favorite movies as a young child. My parents tell me that I would make them watch it over and over again. Isn't it funny that children can do something a hundred times and not get sick of it?

China Glaze - Dorothy Who? (3 coats)
Gelous (1 coat)
Seche Vite (1 coat)

This is pretty spectacular isn't it? I don't know if they specifically meant the Dorothy from The Wizard of Oz, but that's what I thought of. Now I want to do a mani with this and Ruby Pumps :)

Important Question

I have a question for you guys! I have two ideas for future manis and I'd like to know what you think.

1. Mani's For Less: This is where I show manis for less than $5.00.
2. Double The Fun: This is where I have one base color but the designs on each hand would be different.

So my question is: Do you like either of these ideas? I can't promise that I'd be able to do a bunch of them, because I get bored easily. But what do you think?

Anyways here's my mani for today

Base: Orly - Rock the World
Glitter: China Glaze - Blonde Bombshell

Gold Comparison

The wonderful Lizzy send my Sinful Colors This Is It and I noticed that it was very similar to China Glaze Champagne Bubbles.

The difference is that the Sinful Colors has rainbow glitter and the China Glaze has silver.

Pointer and Ring: China Glaze - Champagne Bubbles
Middle and Pinky: Sinful Colors - This Is It

There's definitely a difference and I would probably pick the Sinful Colors, but I don't like either of them because the yellow looks weird with my skin. What do you think?

Pointer and ring finger: Sally Hansen Xtreme Wear - Red Carpet
Middle and Pinky: China Glaze - Ruby Heels

Cool, right?

Sponged Pink: China Glaze - Sweet Hook
Sponged Mint: Wet n Wild megalast - I Need A Refresh-Mint
Top Coat: NYC - Quick Dry Top Coat

The NYC top coat dried very quickly and was very shiny! Maybe not as Seche Vite, but pretty close and $8 cheaper.

Girly-Girl Challenge Day Five: Gotta Love Chick Flicks

I know I just posted a few minutes ago, but I can't contain my excitement over this challenge!

I have two favorite chick flicks, so I decided to do them both!

The first is Runaway Bride starring Julia Roberts and Richard Gere. She abandons a total of four grooms at the altar.

Black: Sally Hansen Xtreme Wear - Black Out
White: Sally Hansen Xtreme Wear - White On
Bride's Skin: Essence - Nude It!

Here are the four grooms and the bride! She's wearing pearls!
(Btw this essence gave me no trouble! It was great!)

The second movie, my all time favorite chick flick is While You Were Sleeping staring Sandra Bullock and Bill Pullman. There's a scene where they're slipping and falling on a big patch of ice. Here are my ice nails:

I layered four different coats of polish for this:

1 Franken - Angel Wings
1 ORLY - Twilight
1 China Glaze - Luxe and Lush
1 OPI - Glitter-ally The Best Silver Ever

Let's all go watch our fav chick flicks now!

Bright Enough?

I bought this bright China Glaze and it dried matte like Turned Up Turquoise. I didn't like it matte so I didn't even take a picture. Here it is shiny:

China Glaze - Flying Dragon
Top Coat - Seche Vite

The tiny blue glitter is my favorite part!

Then I added Essie - Shine of the Times

Yum!

What do you think?

Girly Girl Challenge Day Four: Inspired by the Runway

I went here to read about the fashions for Autumn 2012. They talk about mixing orange and teal together. That sparked my idea for a mani.

Teal: China Glaze - Turned Up Turquoise (This is matte that needed 3 coats. I put seche vite over it.)
Orange: China Glaze - Riveting
Top Coat: Seche Vite

The turquoise is more green in real life. Bad boy, camera!

On my left hand I used the same colors but on the opposite hands. Then I added Finger Paints - Silver Crackle for fun!

Girly Girl Challenge Day 3: Delicate & Elegant

While my blogger is still working, I wanted to post what I did for day 3 of the challenge!

I wanted something light and pretty, so I made my first jelly sandwich! Here's how it went...

2 Coats China Glaze - Love Letter (A peachy color so light it was almost clear)
1 Coat Sally Hansen Xtreme Wear - Strobe Light
2 Coats ORLY - Twilight
1 Coat China Glaze - Love Letter
1 Coat Seche Vite

Yes, you read that correctly, 7 coats of polish!

What do you think?

Blogging

My poor blogger has been on the fritz (isn't that a great phrase?) and I haven't been able to post. Now I can though! I have nail pictures saved up from the days I couldn't post. Here is the first!

Base: China Glaze - Knotty
Glitter: Nicole - A Million Sparkles

I put most of the glitter on the tips and then spread some down the nails.

This is my first time trying glitter that isn't round. I don't love it. But I love you readers! Sorry for my absence!

New Favorite Black

Look at this gorgeous nail polish! No nail art, because this is fabulous by itself.

China Glaze - Lubu Heels
Top Coat - Seche Vite

Black with red shimmer. Genius.

Two coats!

I wish I had put a matte top coat on it before I took it off, but I wasn't thinking. Anyways, isn't it great?

Blue Blazes

Blue is my favorite nail polish color. I'm addicted to it. Here I use a blue that I've had for awhile with a new China Glaze from The Hunger Games collection.

Blue: Revlon - Royal
Flakies: China Glaze - Luxe And Lush

Here is Royal by itself (2 coats):

Of course, I had to matte it with Essie - Matte About You

Oops, my thumb is cut off!

The application of Luxe And Lush was a little difficult because it was very thick. Also, it left a very bumpy texture when it dried. One matte coat smoothed it out, but I don't know how many clear top coats it would take.

It's so pretty that I don't mind the slight difficulties. What do you guys think?

Red-y, Set, Go!

My boyfriend gave me this fabulous red for Christmas. It's name is perfect because red geraniums really are this color!

Base: Essie - Geranium
Gold: China Glaze - Champagne Bubbles

Red is my favorite color! Yay!

Is It Summer Yet?

I wanted something bright and happy this time.

The pink and orange nail polishes were at least 8 years old and didn't even have names. The application was so horrible that I threw them out after I did my nails.

Yellow: NYC - Taxi Yellow Creme

Then I decided to make it punk by putting black crackle over it.

Crackle: China Glaze - Black Mesh

Don't you wish summer was here?

Base: Pure Ice - Silver Mercedes
Glitter: China Glaze - Lorelei's Tiara
Top Coat: Seche Vite

I hope you like my cold Ice Queen!

Singin' The Blues

Why is it that my nails look great in person, but when I take a picture I can see all the little mistakes? Boo. I still like this manicure! This is one of the new China Glaze Electropop colors!

Blue: Kinetic Candy
Top Coat: Seche Vite

The bow is from the born pretty store.
